In the center of the painting, Galahd stands in front of his horse with trees in the background.

Galahad stands, facing left.  He has a full head of red hair and a boyish face.  He is clad in armor from his neck down.  A red shield hangs from his back. A red sheath holding his sword is belted to his side.

His horse is white and stands head down with a red halter hand a leather saddle on his back.  Only the forequarters of the horse can be seen in the painting.
